Abstract
Bu çalışmada, ilköğretim öğrencilerinin matematiksel rutin olmayan problem çözme stratejilerinden bağıntı bulma stratejisi ile sistematik liste yapma stratejilerini kullanma düzeyleri ve bu düzeyler arasında bir ilişki olup olmadığı incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla, ilköğretim 2. ve 3. sınıf öğrencileri ile 4. ve 5. sınıf öğrencileri birer grup olarak düşünülmüş ve her grup için bu iki stratejiye ait dörder problemden oluşan farklı iki test tasarlanmıştır. Tasarlanan testler, Bursa ilindeki bir ilköğretim okulu’nun 2, 3, 4. ve 5. sınıflarında okumakta olan toplam 307 öğrenciye uygulanmıştır. Testlerin uygulanması sonucunda her öğrencinin iki strateji için toplam puanları kullanılarak, sınıf düzeyinde ortalamalar ve korelasyon katsayıları hesaplanmıştır. Ek olarak, regresyon analizi ve bağımsız gruplar için t testi de yapılmıştır. Bu analiz sonuçlarına göre, tüm sınıf düzeylerinde bağıntı bulma ve sistematik liste yapma stratejilerinin ortalamalarının düşük olduğu, ancak kullanımları arasında olumlu yönde ve anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu görülmüştür.
In this research, primary school students’ usage levels of making a systematic list and looking for a pattern strategies were searched. More importantly, whether there is a relationship between these usage levels were examined. For this aim, 2nd & 3rd grades and 4th & 5th grades were considered as one group and two different tests that consisted of 4 questions for each strategy were designed for these groups. These tests were administered to 307 students who were attending to second, third, fourth, fifth grades in an elementary school in Bursa. After implementing the tests, means and correlation coefficients were computed at the level of each grade by using students’ total scores for each strategy. In addition, regression analysis and t test for independent samples were carried out. According to results of these analyses, it was found that means of strategies used in this study are quite low at each grade level but there is a positive and significant relationship between their usages.
