At first we’ll introduce the Italian Philosopher in a few words and give some information about his works. Secondly we’ll explain his views on truth’s violence. According to Vattimo, since Plato, Western thought and thus societies live in this “violence”/metaphysical categories. He argues that this violence stems from [metaphysical] truth claims. In other words, he put forwards that this truth claims are not only intrinsic to religious [truth] claims but also common in modern thought, science and technology. And finally, we’ll discuss his concept of “weak thought” (il pensiero debole) as a critical and weakener stance against these truth claims. The weak thought tries to find a way to liberate us from these metaphysical categories and claims. In this direction Vattimo’s intellectual background mainly depends on Nietzschean and Heideggerian literature. Nietzsche and Heidegger always object to these claims and categories in a different ways. Vattimo eclectically uses their thoughts and concepts/phrases (for example Nietszche’s famous phrase “God is dead” and Heidegger’s concept of Verwindung (Overcoming)) to weaken these claims. In Vattimo’s all works we can see the criticism of metaphysical thoughts because he believes that the end of the truth is beginning the democracy.Item The role of gis mapping method in toponymy research(Uludağ Üniversitesi, 2016-01-31) Yeginbayeva, Aygul; Saparov, Kuat; Aralbekova, Mariyash; Kızılçaoğlu, Alaattin; Wendt, Jan A.; Atasoy, Emin; Uludağ Üniversitesi/Eğitim Fakültesi/İlköğretim Bölümü.Actual problems of toponymy are discussed in this article. This genre is not the only genre that was used for contributing to the patron-patronized relation even though this praising patron genre is also used for the same reason. Müzeyyel ghazals and qasidas entitled as ghazals can also considered as poems written for praising the patrons. In addition if the poet praises himself in his poem, the poem is considered as fahriye (self-praising poem). In this paper after introducing müzeyyel ghazals, ghazals and qasidas entitled as ghazals from the divans of seven Sebk-i Hindi poets (Naili, Şehri, İsmeti, Neşati, Fehim-i Kadim, Şeyh Galib ve A. Sami) are explored. This paper aims to determine for whom these poets wrote their müzeyyel ghazals. Beside that how they praised themselves with this poems is also explored. In this paper also the structural features of müzeyyel ghazals and qasidas, which are entitled as ghazals but considered as qasida due to containing prays are tried to be determined.
