Abstract
“19. yüzyılda Ustrumca’da Sosyo Ekonomik Hayat,” adını taşıyan bu çalışmada, günümüzde Makedonya topraklarında bulunan Ustrumca Kazası’nın Osmanlı dönemindeki durumu ele alınmıştır. Ustrumca’nın Osmanlı dönemindeki sosyal ve ekonomik yönlerini açığa çıkarmak, günümüz Ustrumca’sını anlamak için bir ihtiyaçtır. Bu kaza hakkında Makedon yerel ve diğer yabancı kaynaklarda muhtelif bilgiler bulunurken, Türkçe kaynaklarda ise bu kaza ile ilgili bilgi yok denilecek kadar azdır. Çalışma yapılırken genel olarak Osmanlı dönemine ait birincil kaynaklara başvurulmuştur. Bu araştırma özellikle Tanzimat Fermanı’nın yayınlanmasından sonra ortaya çıkan değişimleri ele almıştır. Bu yıllarda ortaya çıkan değişimler, Ustrumca Kazası’nın ticarî ve ziraî yönden en verimli döneminin oluşmasına sebep olmuştur. Bu değişimlerin yanı sıra nüfusta bir artışın oluştuğu görülmektedir. Tanzimat Fermanı’nın eğitim üzerinde de oluşan büyük etkisi Ustrumca Kazası’nda da eğitimin yaygınlaşmasına ve önemsenmesine sebep olmuştur. Ustrumca kozmopolit bir yer olmasına rağmen Osmanlı Devleti ayrım yapmaksızın bütün halka müsamahakâr ve adaletli davranmıştır.
In this study, which has the title “Socio-Economic Life in Strumica in the 19st Century”, the condition of Strumica, which is in the territory of Macedonia today, in the Ottoman period was dealt with. Determining the social and economic aspects of Strumica in the Ottoman period is necessary to understand Strumica today. Although there are data on this county in local Macedonian and other foreign sources, little is known about it in Turkish sources. Throughout the study, the primary sources of the Ottoman period were generally referred to. This study dealt specifically with the changes that appeared since the publication of the Imperial Tanzimat Edict. The changes that took place in those years caused that the most commercially and agriculturally efficient period of Strumica was lived. In addition to these changes, an increase in the population was also observed. The great impact of the Imperial Tanzimat Edict on education also led to the spread of education in Strumica. Although Strumica is a cosmopolitan place, the Ottoman Empire treated tolerant and fair to all the people without discrimination.
