Abstract
Eğitim kurumlarında gerçekleştirilecek değişimlerin temel hedefi daha verimli, daha etkili, daha kaliteli eğitim seviyesine ulaşmaktır. Okullarda bu yönde yapılacak değişimlere başlamadan önce okulların velilerle olan ilişkilerinde var olan durumun tespiti önem taşımaktadır.Araştırmanın amacı resmi ve özel ilköğretim okullarının etkili okulun veliler boyutundaki özelliklere hangi düzeyde sahip olduklarım, yönetici ve öğretmenlerin algılan doğrultusunda ortaya koymaya çalışmaktır. Araştırma tarama modelindedir ve verilerin toplanmasında " Etkili Okul-Veli İlişkileri Anketi" kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın problemine ve alt problemlerine uygun olarak verilerin çözümlenmesinde frekans dağılımları, yüzdeleri alınmış, t Testi ve Ki-Kare istatistik tekniği kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonuçlan özetle şöyledir. 1) Resmi ilköğretim Okullarında görev yapan öğretmenlerin algılarına göre, etkili okulun boyutlarından biri olan "veliler", göstermeleri gereken davranışları orta ve altoda göstermektedir. 2) Özel ilköğretim Okullarında görev yapan öğretmenlerin algılarına göre, etkili okulun boyutlarından biri olan "veliler", göstermeleri gereken davranışları orta ve yüksek düzeyde göstermektedir. 3) Resmi ilköğretim Okullarında görev yapan yöneticilerin algılarına göre, etkili okulun boyutlarından biri olan "veliler", göstermeleri gereken davranışları orta ve altoda göstermektedir. 4) Özel ilköğretim Okullarında görev yapan yöneticilerin algılarına göre, etkili okulun boyutlarından biri olan "veliler", göstermeleri gereken davranışları oldukça yüksek düzeyde göstermektedir. 5) Özel İlköğretim Okullarında, Resmi ilköğretim Okullarına göre etkili okulun boyutlarından biri olan "veliler", göstermeleri gereken davranışların daha yüksek düzeyde gerçekleştiği ortaya çıkmıştır.
The main purpose of the improvement which will be realized at the educational institutions has to be reach to a more productive, effective and qualitative educational level. Before starting these kinds of studies in the schools the existing manner of the relationships between the school and the parents of the students has to be known. This study is intended to investigate the perception of teachers and managers who work in private and public primary schools about the school-parent relationship according to the criteria of expected school-parent relatinoship at an effective school,by means. For this purpose a questinnaire called as "Effective School-Parent Relationship Questionnaire" was used. lt is developed by Yaralı (2000) and has 35 items evaluated by likert scale with five responses. The reliabilty of the scale was found 0.97 according to Cronbach- Alpha.The questionnaire was applied 126 public and 128 private school teachers and 13 public school and 19 private school managers in 2003. In terms of the problem and the sub problems of the study the data was analized by handling the distributions of the frequencies and the percentiles of the teachers'responses. In addition t test and chi-square techniques were also used for the comparision of the groups (the groups of public and private school teachers). The results showed that the teachers and the managers of public school reported that parents have moderately good relations with, the school. On the other hand the teachers and the managers of the private schools were perceiving more optimistically and reported that parents parents had rather good relations with the school. According to t-test results gender of the teachers and the managers did not create a difference in terms of the perception of the parents. Public and private scholl teachers were perceiving the parent behaviours as significantly different The private school teachers were perceiving the parents as having appropriate parent behaviours.By means of one-way ANOVA tbetween the perceptions of managers,teachers and the branch teachers there was no statistically significant difference.
