Abstract
Bu araştırmada, Anadolu Liseleri ve Anadolu Teknik Liseleri Yabancı Dil Öğretmenlerinin Sınıf Yönetimi davranışları arasındaki farklılıklar öğretmen ve öğrenci görüşlerine göre incelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Araştırmaya Bursa İlinde yer alan dört Anadolu Lisesi (A.L.) dört Anadolu Teknik Lisesi (A.T.L.) dahil edilmiştir. Bu okullardaki İngilizce öğretmenlerine ve onların öğrencilerine araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen bir sınıf yönetimi anketi uygulanmıştır. Farklılıkları belirleyebilmek amacıyla bağımsız ömeklemler için t-testi sonuçları .05 anlamlılık düzeyinde ele alınmıştır. Test sonucunda elde edilen bulgular A.L. ve A.T.L. okullarında öğretmen ve öğrenci görüşlerine göre sınıf yönetiminin; planlama, motivasyon, eğitim-öğretim, dönüt ve düzeltme, istenmeyen öğrenci davranışlarının önlenmesi boyutlarında değerlendirilmiştir. Test sonuçlarında okul türüne göre farklı okul öğretmenleri ve farklı okul öğrencilerin görüşleri arasında anlamlı bir farklılık bulunamamıştır. Fakat aynı tür okullardaki öğretmen ve öğrencilerin görüşleri arasındaki fark anlamlıdır. Öğretmenler söz konusu sınıf yönetimi davranışlarını daha yüksek sıklıkta sergilediklerini düşünürlerken, öğrenciler öğretmenlerin bu davranışları sergileme sıklığının daha düşük olduğunu belirtmişlerdir. Öğretmen ve öğrenci görüşleri arasındaki farklılıkları daha ayrıntılı belirleyebilmek için sınıf gözlemleri, öğrenci ve öğretmen görüşmelerine başvurmanın daha faydalı olabileceği düşünülmektedir.
In this research, the difference between Anatolion High School and Anatolion Trade High School English Teachers’ classroom management behaviours are examined according to the opinions of teachers and their students. Four Anatolion High Schools and four Anatolion Trade High Schools in Bursa are included to this study. A classroom management questionnaire that is developed by the researcher is implemented to each school English teachers and their students. The differences are defined by the results of t-test for independent-samples. The degree of signifıcance was taken as .05 Data analysed for Anatolion High Schools and Anatolion Trade High Schools according to the opinions of students and teachers on the classroom management dimensions such as; planning, .motivation, teaching, feedback and correction and preventing misbehaviours. According to the test results no significant differences are found about different school teachers’ oppinions and different school students’ opinions of their teachers’ classroom behaviours. However; the difference in same school teachers’ and students’ opinions are significant. Although the teachers think that they display these behaviours more often, according to do students opinions the teachers display these behaviours less often than they think. More accurate results can be found ıf the conclusions taken from questionaire are supported with the classroom observations and interviews with students and teachers.
