Abstract

Campylobacter ssp., primary C. jejuni and C. coli are recognized as the leading cause of human diarrhoea in developed countries. (Stern et al., 2000). Raw milk, raw meat, especially poultry products are chiefly considered as the source of contamination. A number of transmission vehicles and risk factors have been implicated. The most significant risk factors identified was the consumption and/or handling of raw milk. Therefore, it has. been planned to study the Campylobacter contamination in raw milk and white cheese, which are processed and sold in Bursa, Turkey.
