Abstract
Tekstil terbiyesinin bir çok uygulamasında yükseltgen ve indirgen maddelerin kullanımı yaygındır. En yaygın kullanılan yükseltgen madde hidrojen peroksit olup temel uygulama alanı ağartmadır. Diğer yükseltgen maddelere örnek olarak sodyum hipoklorit ve sodyum klorit verilebilir. Bu yükseltgen maddelerin uygulanmalarında aktivasyonu ve stabilizasyonu sağlamak için çeşitli yardımcı kimyasal maddelerin kullanımı yanında sıcaklık ayarı gerekmektedir, örneğin pamuklu mamullerin hidrojen peroksit ile ağartılması genellikle kaynama sıcaklığında yapılmaktadır. Ozon oksidatif bir madde olup redoks potansiyeli hidrojen peroksitinkinden bile yüksektir ve son yıllarda literatürde çıkan yayınlarda rapor edildiği gibi soğukta ilave kimyasal madde gerekmeden istenen reaksiyonları verebilmektedir. Bu özelliğinden hareketle daha düşük çevresel etki ve daha düşük maliyetler hedefleyen ozon ile terbiye konusunda son yıllarda literatürde bir çok çalışma rapor edilmiştir. Bu makalede ozonun tekstil terbiye işlemlerinde kullanımını rapor eden literatür sistematik olarak incelenmiştir.
The use of oxidative and reductive agents is a common concern of textile finishing. The most common oxidative substance used in textile finishing is hydrogen peroxide which is mainly used for bleaching. The examples for other common oxidative substances are hypochlorite and sodium chlorite. Textile auxiliaries are needed as well as temperature adjustment in order to activate and stabilize these oxidative substances. Ozone is an oxidative substance with a redox potential higher than tat of hydrogen peroxide and ozone can be utilized without further use of auxiliaries and increase of temperature. Researchers reported various studies informing the use of ozone for textile finishing with the advantages of lower environmental impact and lower heating costs. In this article, the literature on the use of ozone in textile finishing is reviewed.
