Abstract
Bu çalışmanın amacı, Bipolar Affektif Bozukluk Remisyon Dönemindeki ergenlerin sağlıklı kontrol grubuna göre zihin kuramı becerilerinde bozukluk olup olmadığı ve zihin kuramı becerilerinin Bipolar Bozuklukta geçirilen manik atak, depresif atak sayıları, ailesel ve klinik özellikleri gibi değişkenler ile ilişkisini araştırmaktır. Çalışmaya hasta grubu olarak Uludağ Üniversitesi Çocuk ve Ergen Psikiyatrisi Polikliniği'nde DSM-5'e göre bipolar bozukluk tanısı alan 12-17 yaş aralığındaki 28 ergen, kontrol grubu olarak ise polikliniğimize başvuran herhangi bir psikiyatrik tanı almayan 26 ergen alınmıştır. Katılımcıların sosyodemografik özellikleri ayrıntılı bir formla değerlendirilmiştir. Psikopatolojileri değerlendirmek için Young-Mani Derecelendirme Ölçeği (YMDÖ), Çocuklar için Kovaks Depresyon Ölçeği (KDÖ) ve Çocukluk Çağı Anksiyete Tarama Ölçeği (ÇATÖ) uygulanmıştır. Her iki grupta da zihinsel yetenekleri değerlendirmek üzere Wechsler Çocuklar için Zeka Ölçeği (WISC-R) yapılmıştır. Tüm katılımcılara zihin kuramı becerilerini değerlendirmek için İma Testi, Gözlerden Zihin Okuma Testi ve yanlış inanç testlerinden Bonibon testi, Dondurma Kamyonu testi uygulanmıştır. Sonuç olarak bipolar affektif bozukluk remisyon döneminde olan ergenlerde zihin kuramı becerilerinde sağlıklı kontrol grubuna göre defisit olduğu bulunmuştur. Zihin kuramı defisitinin bipolar affektif bozukluk temel patolojisinde yer aldığı düşünülmüştür.
The aim of this study was to investigate whether adolescents in the Bipolar Affective Disorder in Euthymic Phase have an impairment in their theory of mind abilities compared to the healthy control group and the relationship between theory of mind and variables such as manic episodes, depressive episodes, familial and clinical characteristics in Bipolar Disorder. For the study, as patient group 28 adolescent age 12-17 diagnosed with bipolar disorder according to DSM-5 the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Policlinics at the Uludag University and as control group 26 adolescent admitted to our policlinics but having no psychiatric diagnoses were taken. Sociodemographic characteristics of the participants were studied with a detailed form. Psychopathologies were assesed with the Young Mania Rating Scale (YMRS), The Kovaks Depression Scale for Children (CDI) and the Childhood Anxiety Screening Scale (CASS). Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-Revised Form (WISC-R), was applied to asses intellectual abilities in both groups. The Hunting Test, The Revised Mind in the Eyes Task (MET), The Smarties Test and the Ice Cream Truck Test were applied to find out the theories of mind abilities of all participants. As a result, the Bipolar patients in the euthymic phase showed deficits in the ability of the theory of mind compared to healthy group. Theory of mind deficit may be considered as a basic in pathology of bipolar affective disorder.
