Abstract
Enürezis tüm dünyada olduğu gibi ülkemizde de önemli bir sağlık sorunudur ve sıklık erkek çocuklarda %20,6-23,1, kız çocuklarda %8,7-18,2 oranlarındadır. Yıllardır enürezisin etkenleri olarak organik nedenlerin ve psikolojik faktörlerin rol oynadığının bilinmesine karşın adenoid vejetasyon, enterobius vermicularis, anne sütü ile beslememe, fındık ve soya fasülyesi alerjileri gibi faktörlerin de göz önüne alınması gerektiği düşünülmektedir. Enürezisin yetişkinlikte psikolojik ve davranışsal bozukluk, idrar ve fekal inkontinans riskini artırdığı göz önüne alındığında erken tedavisi üzerinde yoğunlaşılması ileriki yaşlarda bu gibi durumların ortaya çıkmasını engelleyebilecektir. Bu çalışmada enürezisin tanımı ve tarihçesi, epidemiyolojik özellikler, enürezisin risk faktörleri açısından Türkiye’deki durum, enüresizle ilişkilendirilen diğer çalışmalar, çocukluğunda enürezisi olan yetişkinler, tedavi, tedavide ortak görüş, enürezisli çocuk ve ailesinin yönetimi başlıkları altında güncel makaleler incelenerek derlemesi yapılmıştır.
Enuresis is an important health problem in our country like all over the world and its frequency is 20.6-23.1% for boys, and 8.7-18.2% for girls. Although it is known for many years that enuresis has organic causes and psychological factors play a role, it has been thought that factors such as adenoid vegetation, enterobious vermicularis infestation, no breastfeeding, hazelnut and soyabean allergies should also be considered in the differential diagnosis. When enuresis has been considered to increase the risk of psychological and behavioural disorders in adulthood, and of urine and fecal incontinence, by intensifying on early treatment such situations can be prevented in future ages. In this study, definition of enuresis and its history, epidemiological features, the situation of Turkey from the point of view of enuresis risk factors, the other studies dealing with enuresis, the adults who has enuresis in childhood, the treatment, the common idea on treatment, the children with enuresis and their managements have been reviewed under the light of literature.
