Abstract
Bu araştırmanın amacı, anne babanın evlilik uyumu ile ergenlerin benlik saygısı arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesidir. İlişkisel tarama modelinde betimsel bir çalışma olan bu araştırmada ergenlerin toplam ve alt boyutlarıyla benlik saygısı cinsiyet, sınıf düzeyi, algılanan ekonomik düzey, annenin ve babanın eğitim düzeyi değişkenlerine göre incelenmiştir. Ayrıca anne ve babanın evlilik uyumu cinsiyet, anne ve babanın yaşı, anne ve babanın algıladığı ekonomik düzey, evlilik yılı, anne ve babanın eğitim düzeyi değişkenlerine göre incelemiştir. Bu çalışma, 2013-2014 Eğitim-Öğretim yılı, Malatya ili Battalgazi ve Yeşilyurt ilçelerinde bulunan sekiz anadolu lisesinde öğrenim gören 537 ergen ve onların anne babaları üzerinde yürütülmüştür. Uygulama için okullara araştırmacı tarafından gidilmiş 9.,10.,11. ve 12. sınıf öğrencilerine "Coopersmith Benlik Saygısı Ölçeği" ve "Kişisel Bilgi Formu" uygulanmış sonra kapalı zarf içinde "Evlilikte Uyum Ölçeği" ve anne babalarının doldurması gereken "Kişisel Bilgi Formu" öğrencilere dağıtılmıştır. Formları dolduran anne babalardan çocukları aracılığıyla envanterler toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde frekans, yüzde değerleri, Mann Whitney U testi, Kruskal Wallis-H testi Spearman Brown Sıra Farkları Kolerasyonu kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre anne ve babaların evlilik uyumu ile ergenlerin toplam, genel, eve ilişkin, akademik benlik saygısı arasında pozitif yönde anlamlı ilişki bulunmuştur. Ayrıca babanın evlilik uyumu ile ergenin sosyal benlik saygısı arasında pozitif yönde anlamlı ilişki bulunmuştur. Annenin evlilik uyumu ile ergenin sosyal benlik saygısı arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmamıştır. Ergenlerin cinsiyet değişkenine göre eve ilişkin benlik saygısı için kızlar lehine, sınıf düzeyi değişkenine göre sosyal benlik saygısı için 12. sınıflar lehine, algılanan ekonomik düzey değişkenine göre toplam, sosyal ve eve ilişkin benlik saygısı için zengin grup lehine, anne ve babanın eğitim düzeyi değişkenine göre akademik benlik saygısı için okuryazar/ilkokul mezunu grup lehine anlamlı farklılık tespit edilmiştir. Annenin algıladığı ekonomik düzey değişkenine göre annenin evlilik uyumu, babanın algıladığı ekonomik düzey değişkenine göre babanın evlilik uyumu arasında anlamlı farklılık tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca babanın yaşı arttıkça evlilik uyumunun düştüğü saptanmıştır.
The purpose of this research is to analyze the relationship between marital adjustment of parents and self-esteem of adolescents. In this research, which is a study in relational scanning model, the total and lower dimentions of adolescents have been examined with a variety of factors such as self-esteem, gender, grade level, percieved economic level and the education level of parents. They also have been examined according to the marrital adjustment of parents, the age of parents, economic level of parents, date of marriage and the education level of parents. The data for the research was gathered from 357 students, who study in eight Anatolian High Schools in Battalgazi and Yeşilyurt Disricts of Malatya and their parents. "Coopersmith Self-Esteem Inventory" and "Individual Information Form" were used to collect data from students in 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grades. "Marital Adjustment Scale" and "Individual Information Form" were handed out to the students in closed envelopes to be distributed to parents. In the analysis of data, frequency, percentage value, Mann Whitney U Test, Kruskal Wallis-H Test, Spearman Brown Order Difference Correlation have been used. According to the results of the research, a positive relation has been found between the marital adjustment of parents and the total, general, home and academic self-esteem of adolescents. Also, a positive relation has been found between the marital adjustment of father and the social self-esteem of the adolescent. A meaningful relation has not been found between the marital adjustment of mother and social self-esteem of the adolescent. Meaningful differences have been determined on behalf of girls for the home self-esteem according to the sex variety of adolescents, on behalf of 12th class students for social self-estteem according to the variety of class level, on behalf of rich group for total, social and home self-esteem according to the percieved economic level, on behalf of the group of literate and primary school graduates for academic self-esteem according to the variety of the education level of parents. A meaningful differences has been determined between marital adjustment of mother according to the ecenomic level that mother percieved and marital adjustment of father according to the economic level that father percieved. Also, it has been determined that as the age of father increases, the marital adjustment decreases.
